Hi, thinking of going to Disneyland Paris and desperately want to stay in a disney hotel.

Questions so far is any favourite hotels and walking distance to the parks. Places to eat that are must?

Eurostar or flying with young kids?

Any advice, hints or tips?

Get their early or late in the day. Go on the popular rides during parade time.

If you stay onsite all Disney hotels are walkabout within 20 mins. Depends on your budget.

Transport depends where you're travelling from - if London is easily/cheaply accessible, then Eurostar/eurotunnel may be easier.

Depends when you're going. Disney hotel at the entrance is the best with young kids (well it's just the best I feel) but it's shut for refurb at the moment. Stayed in most of them and they all serve their purpose. Those around the lake are the next nearest. Make good use of magic hours and the app to see ride times. Eurostar drops you off at the park, whereas the airport is further out. We usually drive though.

You will walk a loooong way, we stayed at Newport bay and did 11 miles one day!

We went in the winter but went early morning for magic hour and then came back to hotel for a bit (for a swim, was nice and quiet). Went back to park in the evening when it was much quieter. Even in the winter it was extremely busy. The restaurants in the village are ok though (but you will probably need to queue).

We flown and driven found flying much easier. Train has always been much more expensive.

If you go on Eurostar and book a Disney hotel you can check in on the train and drop your bags at the station and they will be taken to your hotel so you can go straight to the park.

Cheyenne Hotel has bunk beds.

If you can afford it book a character dinner at Disneyland Hotel. The children will get to see loads of characters and not be rushed.

If you Eurostar it, it’s a lot cheaper to get off in paris and get the metro to Disney and only takes about 45 mins.

My main piece of advice is go during term time on a Tuesday, Wednesday but not always popular.

From what I've seen on specialised Facebook page you can't check in and leave the luggage at the station any more you have to go to the hotel first. In which case I'd say the extra for the direct disney train isn't worth it you'd be better changing at Lille or Paris on to a train to Disney ( Marne la Vallee station).
I've driven and got the train and much prefer the train, I did it solo with a 2 and 4 year old and it was so easy (it was direct though when you could check luggage in).
I'm terms of hotel I'd say your paying for the location really as hardly at the hotel with exception of the Disney hotel right at the gates so would be easier to go back more in the day. I've stayed at Newport Bay and the new york (now marvel) and much prefer location of new yprk its a much shorter walk.

Hire or take a pushchair

Book fast passes early

Buy costumes in the UK (€80+ 4 years ago for a princess dress)

We took the Eurostar and stayed in the Premier Inn at St Pancras either side to save battling though London with tired & grumpy DC.

At the moment I’m tempted by the marvel hotel for my two boys but it is the most expensive.

Travelling from Newcastle area so Eurostar would require a hotel in london each way I think, it feels too much and PP suggested this.

Character dinner wasn’t on my radar but I will look into it if it’s worth it. I will just tell DH it’s included in the price for staying at the hotel when I book it 😂🤣😂🤣
