Do we have a jigsaw puzzle thread?

Just that really. I've finally completed my backlog of jigsaw puzzles and am looking at buying some more. Is there a thread already for other avid puzzlers? If not, let's start one. I've just finished the ravensburger bizarre bookshop which was a pleasant colourful puzzle. Which puzzle are you currently completing?

I’ve just started doing jigsaws again after a bit of a break.

I’m currently doing “The tree of life”. Always thought I was a master puzzler but this one is just horrible.

The edge pieces are predominantly white and the piece shapes are strange.

I was hoping to enthuse my 8yo but I think I’ve put him off for life 🤣

What is your favourite one so far? What do you do with completed jigsaws?

Might not be cup of tea but I have a jigsaw app (free) on my tablet.

All the fun but no mess or space needed.

I bloody love a jigsaw, my family think I’m nuts but inevitably the dc get drawn in and help with a few pieces.
I last did the Ravensburger front door one, very satisfying.
Father Christmas once bought dd a leaf one with horrible edge pieces that didn’t have straight lines, it never got completed, worst puzzle in the world!

There was a jigsaw thread, it gets a lot of action at Christmas but not much over the summer. I recently finished a 3000-piece beast of a puzzle:

Wow @InMySpareTime - that one has taken dedication! I wouldn’t have the patience for that, so much of the same colour 😱😱

InMySpareTime · 30/07/2022 06:55

It was so very beige. I took 6 months to start it then about 6 weeks to actually do it, but some days I couldn't even look at it, it's so boring!
This is the old jigsaw thread, but nobody's posted since May.

Anyone fancy a new jigsaw thread?

Yes yes yes for a new thread. My family thinks I'm a bit nuts too but whoever's around at the time can't help but pause and help with a few pieces.

@Porkerhontas (fab name btw!) I'm really brutal and just break them up again after an hour or two. Have you ever glued them together ? What do you do with them once they're glued? My favourite was probably a 500 piece little feminists puzzle. It was pretty simple but so colourful and fun. It probably got the most engagement from the teen in my house. Which was your favourite ?

@InMySpareTime wow 3000 pieces is impressive. I'm not sure I could have hacked all the endless beige. It probably felt like you were back in an old 1930s western!

There’s a long running thread here
There are some lovely puzzles on there.

My favourite are Escher jigsaws. Did them
many years ago and just found them again on ebay.

I have a friend who does jigsaws and works in a care home so when I’m done I pass on to her and then she takes them in to work. I would like to have a go at gluing and framing the Escher ones though.
