Salt & Pepper Mills grinding to dust.

My Mills have both started to grind the Salt and Pepper to dust. I prefer larger grains, the Salt especially is that fine that it resembles Icing Sugar. They are the ones where you twist the body and hold the head. I have adjusted the tension but it does not make any difference. They've been cleaned out, again, no difference. Is it time to chuck them? And can anyone recommend a decent set that doesn't cost £££. I know this sounds like a Non Issue but do a lot of cooking from scratch and prefer freshly ground Pepper, not pre cracked that you can buy.

Not very environmentally friendly but I just buy the big ready filled and non-refillable ones from home bargains and the like. Cheap, coarse and work fine. Under about £2 for a huge one.

I'd say chuck. After going through a load of electric ones that kept breaking we bought the le creuset ones and they're really nice and feel like they'll last

we also we’re buying a new electric set every year or so only for them to break.

Apparently the best are Peugeot, we got some from TK Maxx for and would never have paid full price (£60ish).
