Hello - had anyone travelled from stanstead to the Balearics and not needed a covid pass? 3 of us are vaccinated and 1 of us isn't (due to health issues).

They can have a PCR before-hand but it's very expensive and worried it won't come back in time etc....

The gov website says it's needed but friend travelled to Portugal where it also states all of the above are needed and didn't even get asked!

Thanks

Going to Menorca this week. One of our party is unvaxxed. She is having LFT done at chemist (not all do them, but our local one does, although you can order one online, upload the result and get the certificate emailed to you instead) the day before we travel. The rest of us have the NHS app and have downloaded the covid pass.
You can't just use a LFT you have at home as then you won't have the certificate and that is what you are paying for.

www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice check FCO gov uk search for Spain. Under entry requirements this gives clear information on what you need to do. I’d recommend you reading that, understanding whether each passenger is classed as fully vaccinated or not and what you’ll be required to do. Don’t just go by what people say on here, check yourself as you don’t want to get caught out.

OP has looked at the Gov website, it says so in her opening post, but OP doesn't understand it.

All the information posters have suppled here has been from the UK Gov and Spanish Gov Health website and/or personal experience.

Thank you for all your replies. I had an explosive migraine in the night and a precursor to this can be a fuggy head.

I feel much clearer this morning.

Thanks to all for taking the time to help me.

Will go to a local clinic for the antigen test the day before and have downloaded the covid pass for the rest of us (and will print off in case of low battery etc).

😊

I went a few weeks ago, my vaccines had expired (I don't have a booster) and had to get a LTF at the pharmacy the day before, it was all fine I just had to go in a separate queue bit once we got there. All the others just had to show their pass on their phones/print out. My husband actually showed the wrong thing but he was just waved through.

We have just come back from Spain and we ordered an antigen test. You can get same day delivery and it has to be done within 24hrs of the flight. Won’t be accepted if later. We uploaded the result online and completed the SPH form. Very straightforward and it was cheap too

PlacidPenelope · 25/07/2022 11:21

Yes, do print off the Covid Pass and everything else - the results of the test the Spanish Health Form, etc., it is much easier to hand over paper copies than faff about trying to find them on your phone! Just keep them in a clear plastic wallet and hand them over.

You have my utmost sympathy with the migraine, hope you feel better today and that you enjoy your holiday.

We just had ours on our phone. Only ds's was printed as he couldn't have the covid app (scottish one)

They were checking covid passes last week at menorca airport. So if they're not vaccinated they'd definitely need whatever the alternative to a covid pass is.
