Wisdom tooth pain. Please help!

I have impacted wisdom teeth, they have never really caused any problems....until lately!

Had severe pain in the area of one of them about 4 weeks ago, also had covid at the time so was unable to see the dentist but was prescribed a course of antibiotics and this did help to settle it however it has returned with a vengeance. Severe pain hard to even tell where it is coming from but I presume it to be a wisdom tooth given the tenderness in the jaw on that same side. Worse pain when lying down or putting head down.

Can't get a dentist appt until end of next week, anything I can do in the meantime, currently doing salt water rinses, taking ibuprofen, paracetamol and codeine and constantly rubbing on oragel and using ice packs but getting little relief from any of it!

I have a full course of amoxicillin in the house should I take that or will it not work for an impacted tooth infection?
Any other tips to survive this??

Try colgate peroxyl, it's a medicated peroxide mouthwash. It will help slightly and keep the area really clean.

I will get some of that tomorrow and try it. Never heard of it before. Would do anything to try and ease the pain. I'm maxed out on pain relief and it is still agony!

There's nothing worse than tooth ache you poor thing 😩 you could try a numbing gel, think it's called orajel. You can both that and the peroxyl in Boots. Hope it feels better soon x

No advice for now but as soon as you can have them all pulled out. Wisdom teeth are shitty teeth anyway and impacted ones always end up being trouble sooner or later.
