Ideas for what to do with kids in Falmouth/Cornwall?

We are travelling to Falmouth for the first week of the holidays and wondering if anyone has any suggestions of what to do with 2 kids there? I have 2 boys age 13 and 11. One has ASD and doesn't like sand so the beach is out!

Thanks!

Been to the maritime museum this morning (it was raining!). ASD child gets a bit funny in places like that so we had to make a swift exit but good to know with the tickets we can go back again to finish it off!

The kids are keen to go go-karting - can anyone recommend somewhere? TIA

We are a bit further north but really enjoyed footgolf (search Cornwall footgolf) Would recommend.

www.coast2coastkarting.co.uk this is near Hayle so probably about 30-40 minutes from Falmouth

Just seen Kynance mentioned. I really wouldn't in the school holidays. It's a trek from Falmouth and the NT frequently close the access road because it's literally full. It's a victim of it's success and there are many many other beaches to visit

I second the valley gardens of Glendurgan and Trebah. Take swim things because there's a beach at the bottom.

Via Ferrara and Adrenaline Quarry for action. You can also rent small boats, SUPs and kayaks at various places like Loe Beach Watersports.

Take a ferry from Prince of Wales pier to the Roseland. Pre order a lobster roll from the shack on st Mawes harbour. Walk up to the lovely gardens at Lamorran, then collect your lobster roll and sit on the beach at St Mawes admiring the smart sailing boats. Lovely place for a swim too

St Mawes beach is pebbly not Sandy so possibly a winner!!

Could also try Trevassack Quarry, Garras, Helston TR12 6LH for swimming & SUP. And Coverack Windsurfing & SUP are super friendly for good day out.
Roskillys farm for nice cream tea. I would also avoid kyance cove on peak summer just too busy lots of other lovely coves to explore. If you like quiet kayaking try the Helford River.

If your children like watching helicopters or fighter jets there is a viewing area at back of RAF Culdrose airfield not far from the seal Santuary at Gweek- my friends ASD lad spent a happy hour watching them with his binoculars.

Roskilly’s farm is good for pizza, ice cream and a wander. You drive past a satellite station and we stopped for a look through the fence 😳.

There's actually a lovely civic park in Falmouth with a great play area for the kids. My son preferred that and an ice cream to any of the formal 'days out' we had planned.

You could also spend part of the day walking around at the end of the Lizard, there's lovely ice cream there and the lighthouse which is open sometimes ( I think - please check). It's on a cliff so no sand but some lovely birds to watch if they like that.

There's a pub not far away called the Halzephron Inn which was lovely when I went.
