God I’m no fashionista but you all sound a bit parochial. We have a fashion school in our town and I can imagine a few fashion students wearing those ( although not affording them). Society needs outliers otherwise we’d all be dressing in Seasalt and how boring would that be?

Growing up in the 80s, saving up and buying my first stilettos at 16 with my paper round money and then spending the next 40 years in high heels, some as high as 6 inches (I'm 5'2). My feet have always ached in trainers as they are just too flat. Even when walking barefoot, I tend to walk on my toes. These are great if you've spent your whole life in heels!
