Is this worth bothering my GP about?

Especially given the state of the NHS, will they even do anything?
I have back pain, not excruciating and I am able to go about life, but its always there niggling away. I think its caused by my spine being "wonky". One of my shoulders is probably a good 3" higher than the other even when I'm stood straight, laying down one leg appears obviously longer than the other. I'm concerned it might get worse with age, but if anyone has experience of this, realistically what can be done? Especially on the NHS?

Self refer to your GPs physio

YouBoggleMyMind · 09/07/2022 14:25

Yes it's worth seeing your GP but prepare for it to be a slow journey to be referred to a specialist for physio or the like. Is there any way you can go down a private pathway?

AdalbertWafflin · 09/07/2022 14:25

Oh I didn't know you could do that.. I will enquire

I considered private, but given everything is getting more expensive, I'm not sure I'll be able to afford to continue it, so seems a little pointless starting privately.

I'd see a physio first.

How about paying for a first appointment with a chiropractor and seeing what they say?
I remember being told that I was standing with a slope to one side. I had back pain, hip pain, knee and ankle pain because they all impacted each other.

It was sorted after a good few appointments.
NHS referrals are taking ages.

I’d go osteopath privately. They did more in two sessions than a chiropractor did in 20

I'd also strongly recommend an osteopath appointment and see what they say.
