Everhot - running costs

I'm thinking of getting an everhot. Neve had one or an Aga.
Understand they come with a running cost.
Looking at published running costs - 120i on eco mode in Jan (pre increases) says about £18 per week.
I am quite taken aback by this!
Is there a more economical way to have one of these beautiful cookers or is this just what it is?

We’ve got an Aga, our electric costs at the moment are over £9 per day. There are two of us and we’re home all day, washer on probably five times a week, dishwasher daily. Electric shower twice a day, two freezers in the garage and fridge freezer in the kitchen, don’t use tumble dryer and with it being summer, the underfloor heating is off. We have gas central heating and water.
the Aga is probably at least £5 per day to run but without turning it off, I can’t be sure.
they are ridiculously expensive to run but are lovely to cook on and when it’s cold they keep the kitchen lovely and warm

you need the kwh per week - multiplied by your own tariff. So my tariff is 29p per kWh. On eco an Everhot 120i does 100kw so 100 x 0.29 is £29 a week. X 4.33 for a calendar month average would add £125.57 to your electricity bill.

in october, if the tariff goes up 64% for me personally the Everhot would cost £206 a month.

you would likely never use a kettle, a toaster, a microwave again. Maybe use the tumble dryer / heated airer less and use less heating if any in the kitchen.

but that’s how you work out the costs.
