Just this 😆 To add: my DD eats this by the bucket load so she will be most upset!

😂This is the final straw!!

ifonly4 · 08/07/2022 14:50

I've always got a stash of canned goods, so nothing from stopping my DD making her usual shed load when she's back from uni. Your DD can come and help eat it, please!

I kid you not but chocolate chip brioche haven’t been available for months now. Not in Waitrose… not in M&S. my 6yo doesn’t believe me… his world is under threat…

Chocolate chip brioche readily available in Sainsbury's, or pain au chocolate, or plain brioche, in M & S available if you want similar.

WingingItSince1973 · 08/07/2022 14:52

Thank goodness I have a load of chickpeas in the cupboard. What with this and the butter I'll be back to a 1940s housewife before I know it. I have always loved that time period 🤣

lastminutedotcom22 · 08/07/2022 14:52

I was in tesco last night there was tonnes of it I bought some; I am noticing in general tho lots of empty shelves when I go shopping various things really

darisdet · 08/07/2022 14:53

I usually keep a stock of chickpeas, though I'm not too bothered about hummus.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 08/07/2022 14:54

Fuuuuuuucckk

though actually they sell tinned houmous in my local Turkish shop so I’m going to go and buy every tin they have, and ration it.

Windbeneathmybingowings · 08/07/2022 14:54

Nah not at TFC where you buy in the ice cream tubs. They never go out of stock of anything!

I miss living somewhere with Turkish/insert any country other than UK/Germany/USA food shops. Rather a monocuisine culture up here.

Second that there was loads in Tescos yesterday.

It is very easy to make but, like pesto and garlic bread, disappointingly tastes no better than the shop bought version.

Aldi have them!

bigbluebus · 08/07/2022 15:09

No shortage in my local Lidl store yesterday.

zafferana · 08/07/2022 15:12

Well there was loads when I was in both Sainsburys and M&S yesterday, so I'm not convinced there's a shortage round where I live (and it's very MC round here, so we get through a shit load of the stuff) Grin

Worldgonecrazy · 08/07/2022 15:13

Random shortages everywhere. No washing up liquid at Aldi last week, and feta supply is sporadic.

SausageAndCash · 08/07/2022 16:10

:secretly stockpiles tahini to sell at exorbitant cost to everyone who has panic bought chick peas:

Reminded me of this….

love this!!

Waitrose has chocolate chip brioche back yesterday - I can ease off on the nurofen now 😂

I read that as UK short of humans. Quite disappointed now. Also disappointed as DS is type 1 and hummus is one of the east low carb things he likes. Bummer.

I think we are also short of humans too
Well ones who want to pick fruit etc anyway

WinterMusings · 11/07/2022 11:48

Laughing at all the people who say there's loads in their local shop. There's loads of everything...until there's not.

In addition, it has a short shelf life, it'll be there one minute, gone the next.

MrsMcisaCt · 11/07/2022 16:54

Wouldn't it be nice if one day there was a shortage of Daily Fail articles? Let's all stop clicking on them and make that happen.
