How to make overnight oats taste good?

I'm sorry if this is a silly question but I'm not sure how you make them exactly and online recipes are a bit confusing bc they don't seem to always specify when exactly to add the ingredients like if I'm supposed to add the ingredients and then store in the fridge or if some of the stuff needs to be added last minute? I have oat milk, oats, almond butter, cinnamon, vanilla syrup, chia seeds, and blueberries.. Is there anything else I might need? And can someone be so kind and tell me how exactly I should do this

My favourite is equal amounts oats and coconut milk in the fridge overnight, with some frozen mango piled ontop (looks prettier than mixed in). The next morning, I add chopped banana and a drizzle of honey. This is so i get an occasional honey hit rather than an overall mixed in taste.

I much prefer them to be room temp rather than warm. So in the summer, I get them out if the fridge as soon as I get up and put them on a sunny window sill if I am in a rush, or if wfh leave them on the side for an hour. The flavour is much better then

My partner like his with almond milk and a spoonful of peanut butter mixed in before being topped with chopped apple and a bit of maple syrup in the morning

I use this really simple "recipe" charlotteslivelykitchen.com/simple-overnight-oats/ because I dislike yoghurt.

it isn't really a recipe at all (as the blogger admits! 😂) . I add cinnamon and dried apple (which soaks up the milk too so I add extra). DD used to make it with frozen berries and fruit.

I used to like the overnight oats served at Champ yes. They soak them in apple juice rather than a milk substitute.

For us, the secret is using the large oatflakes, we use Flahavans jumbo oats, and leave soaking overnight. The smaller ones just make gloop. I soak in skimmed milk with sultanas and pumpkin seeds, and add red fruits, greek yoghurt and honey in the morning. DH adds walnuts, apricots and dates as well, but his is too sweet for me.
I soak the oats overnight when I make porrige as well.

I’ve tried various recipes and types of oats and it’s still not something I like. I find soaking the oats in milk overnight then adding more milk and cooking it, then adding the fruit etc makes a much nicer porridge then the gloop you get with overnight oats.

Frozen fruit!!!

make up the mix as usual, but use frozen instead of fresh fruit. Ours are so much nicer like that. As they defrost and melt the flavour seems to just penetrate the oats and yogurt better.

I do mine by making up a Bircher muesli style mix (large oats, seeds, chopped nuts, dried fruit) and using that as a base. I put some in a bowel, add milk (or vegan milk) and leave overnight. Then in the morning, I add plain yoghurt and fruit. If I'm running low on fresh fruit I add frozen to the mix the night before.
I did frozen cherries with almond milk this week - that was really good!

I'm planning to try the overnight Weetabix cheesecake that I keep seeing on Instagram this week. That seems to be crushed Weetabix mixed with plain yoghurt and pressed into a dish, then flavoured, high protein yoghurt and fruit on top. Sounds like it could either be lush, or a sludgy mess!
