Canary Islands - 15 year old - what Covid documents needed?!

Please advise, lovely mumsnetters! Last minute holiday, cheap as chips.
DS is 15 and has had 2 covid vaccine shots.
What documents does he need? I've been online for ages and it's a bit contradictory..

We went during May half term. They just check the vaccine passport on entry. This was Tenerife. BA asked to upload documentation prior flying and that was it.

Sorry to ask daft questions - does he have a vaccine passport as a 'child'? Where do I get his from?

If he has a phone download the NHS app. It is different from covid app. For my 10 year old we used her vaccine card as she doesn't have a phone.

When did he have his 2nd dose?

If it was over 270 days ago and he hasn't had a booster he'll also need a negative covid test result.

Spain classes anyone 12 and over as an 'adult' with regards their covid to rules so the same rules apply to all, and children under 12 don't need to do or present anything at all.

Phyllis321 · 04/07/2022 11:41

Crikey! I'd better check. How long before we fly does the test need to be?

72 hours for PCR or 24 hours for supervised lateral flow.

Watchamocauli · 04/07/2022 19:55

@Phyllis321

has 270 days passed since his 2nd shot?

here is the link - www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain/entry-requirements#if-youre-fully-vaccinated

this is the text from Gov site

If you are aged 12 to 17 and have not received the booster, but have received two doses of a two-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine approved for use by Spain, then at least 14 days must have passed since your last dose, to qualify as fully vaccinated. You continue to qualify as fully vaccinated more than 270 days after your last dose and do not need to show proof of having received a booster to travel.

My apologies, @Watchamocauli is correct about the 270 day rule not applying to under 18s. I used to be on the ball with this but it seems I've lost track Confused
