Which trainers for high arch? Tween?

DS has a really high arch and finds lots of trainers tight and uncomfortable. He's having to go up a whole size to get the width feeling right and it's still hot and miss.

He's looking for trendy teen trainers like Nike, Adidas etc for school.

Can anyone recommend brands with more width or height? Thanks.

You could look at buying arch supporting insoles to put in normal trainers, I am not sure any 'in' trainers offer good arch support....

Hmmm do I mean high instep or high arch? The top bit of his foot is high so things feel tight and need to be wider I suppose.
I don't think he needs arch support.

It's high instep, I googled it.
Maybe the wrong title then.

I have very high insteps, narrow heels and wide ball of foot. I've always had mine fitted at a proper running shop but I'm guessing he won't want Brooks or similar?
For the high instep when I was young I wore Adidas rather than Nike. Sorry, really not v helpful!

I buy ASICS for running and new balance for day to day. I also change how I lace them so that they aren't tight at the top of my foot. Google for proper instructions, but basically you miss out a cross over after the first couple of holes.

Thanks @Cuck00soup Inwas actually just thinking about that. It's almost impossible for him to tie his laces on some shoes as they end up too short!
I'll definitely take a look at ASICS and New Balance.

@tattychicken Thanks, yes we've not been very lucky with Nike although they were good when he was younger. Will also check Adidas.

New balance do wide fit in their running shoes but not sure about the more fashionable models.

DS has the same issue and has had shoes from adidas, Salomon and Asics in the past. Also Lowa and Meindl for more hiking type shoes.
