He further says this is a topic for political debate. No it fucking isn't.

Well people continually vote for the Tories so we'll be hearing more of the same forever more.

You'll have the GC feminists in shortly to tell you that at least the Tories know what a woman is while they strip away their rights

You need to know who your enemy is to target them effectively, and the tories certainly do.

I take issue with his discomfort on lecturing the US. Removing health care from women while you dick about with the law is outrageous.

I would agree it's a matter for debate. #nodebate doesn't win hearts and minds,

We need people to agree 'I trust women, as soon as possible, as late as necessary' is the right approach, not inform them no other view is tolerated.

countrylifer · 28/06/2022 15:32

I don't agree. A woman's right to absolute bodily autonomy shouldn't be up for debate. Especially not by a man.

I think that's a great argument. I suspect that everything else boils down to that.

Whatever opinion anyone else may have about what happens to the embryo/foetus/baby, the woman gets full control over her body.

Are there any areas where someone doesn't get full control of their body? People can be detained in protective custody, I believe. They can't receive medical treatment without their consent, generally speaking.

I'd say that's a perfectly good, and possibly water tight argument.

I believe that debate demonstrates the strength of the case, rather than suggesting it's weakness.

picklemewalnuts · 28/06/2022 15:39

And also, Danny Kruger saying that makes it easier for people to know not to vote for him.

You basically have to be sectioned before you can get treatment against your will.

Ye Gods. What is the world coming to? How many more hard-won women's rights are they going to challenge?

No man has the right to decide what happens inside a woman's body.

He’s MP for Devizes. A Tory goat would be elected.

I find it interesting this isn't being discussed on here more.

It won't be long until this agenda is pushed for debate whist the government can strip kids of school meals because they don't really give a shit about their parent's struggles or whether they are starving.

The most comical thing is that as a party, the Tories are very fine ones to talk when they've had so many MPs with sex scandals. I wonder how many mistresses have had abortions?
