Can you tell me about Butlins Minehead

Booked back before the cost of living rose quite so much, and now worrying slightly about the budget.

We are going self catering in August.

Can you give me a rough idea of what we need to pay for? Are most of the activities included? If not how much?

Roughly how much do you think we'll pay for two courses in the restaurant per person? Ice creams during the day?

And what should we prioritise/what are the "must do's"?

@AndSoFinally would you mind giving us an update when you've been on the good and bad bits?

To those who've been and booked shows/activities in advance...when does the booking actually open? I know you're meant to get an email saying it's open but if it's a case of it goes live at midnight 14 days before then I might try when I'm (inevitably) woken up in the early hours by my toddler!

Any must do's either on or off resort for us (my 71 year old dad, me and my toddler who's two and a half)

Any recommendations of where to eat/where not to on or off resort?

There's a lovely heritage steam railway starts at Minehead.
