Are these common in nurseries now and what are they called?

A local nursery uses a thing that's like a long rubbery belt that all the children are tied to and they also hold onto the handles when they are out walking together. I appreciate the need to keep them safe, no easy task, but they have to walk so closely behind each other that if one trips it looks like they'll all trip.

I've worked in nurseries before and we didn't have them but I'm curious to know if they're common now and also what are they called? A crocodile? No I don't want to buy one. I'm just curious.

Walking rope. My son used this when he was in preschool in Canada 12yrs ago

I don’t know what they’re called but I remember them being used in the late 90s so they’re not new.

I believe they are called walk-o-diles

Thank you both. I didn't think that they were likely to be new but none of the nurseries I worked in used them so I wasn't familiar with walking ropes.

Walkodile. That's cute. Thanks, giftswap2021.
