Oooh looks itchy

It's "very high" pollen season at the moment and also midges , horse flies and mosquitoes are out in force if you are sitting out eat all evening in your garden or have the windows open. But your bite marks don't look like mine (big red welts) so maybe that is dust mites in the house? Can you put washing up gloves in and go through your house hoovering mattresses carpets and wiring out the house? I don't say that meaning you aren't but sometimes a good old spring clean can help?

If none of that helps maybe pop to see your pharmacist and ask what they think- as a good pharmacist is worth their weight in gold for advice and recognising what type of bites and allergies tend to present as.

It's not dramatically itchy - this one is and it's my normal (if a little smaller than normal) reaction

These really hurt!

Moving someone into a new house so I wonder if it's that/there

They look a bit like flea bites to me….

Tiani4 · 23/06/2022 13:50

Ah flea bites that's a good call. Do you have cats or a dog OP?

Tiani4 · 23/06/2022 13:51

Tbh when my cats have fleas (on occasion that they've brought in despite regular flea and worm treatment ) they look a bit like that... multiple bites in small areas.

If you've been moving someone into a new house maybe he or she needs to flea bomb the house

Yes new house is a give away, the resident dog or cat is gone and the fleas are looking for any warm target passing by.

If you've recently moved into a new rental property OP it could be fleas in the carpets if the previous tenants had pets. You will need to get the carpets treated to get rid of them. Flea bits are small, red and EXTREMELY itchy. Anthisan and/or an antihistamine tablet should give you some relief, but it's imperative that you get the place fumigated (or whatever the current treatment is for a property infested with fleas). I'd get onto your landlord immediately.

I would take antihistamines if you have multiple itchy bites.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 24/06/2022 13:10

I'd get some Indorex spray and do the entire house with it asap. I got mine from Amazon.

KatyMac · 24/06/2022 17:46

I take fexofenadine (180) daily anyway

But its not really itchy, just bloody sore; fleabites haven't gone like that before

The new house (for DD) has not curtains or carpets at all but the garden was very over grown so I wonder if it might have been out there
