You should've posted in sporners corner which I have hidden to avoid seeing disgusting things like this.

Beachsidesunset · 22/06/2022 08:10

This was an infamous question in a biology GCSE exam, about how it had adapted to live on your eyelashes - cue disgusted retching and furious rubbing of eyes in the exam hall!

MayBeee · 22/06/2022 08:15

@PrettyDelightful

Really

What was you expecting so see. Flowers & unicorns ?
Don't click if you don't want to see it .

Well I never. ! There was a thing when I a teenager that there were little bugs on the ends of your eyelashes that nibbled them down . So if you trimmed the ends you’d get rid of the bugs and have really long eyelashes 😂I can’t remember if I actually tried it , needless to say my lashes remain a perfectly normal length !

PureBlackVoid · 22/06/2022 08:25

I have just read this, and I honestly would have been happy not knowing about it for the rest of my life 🤢

Northernsoullover · 22/06/2022 08:27

I think they look cute. I always knew about the eyelashes but not the nips 🤢

Reminds me of reading about dust mites in Bill Bryson’s ‘A Short History Of Nearly Everything’ when on holiday. Not recommended for the squeamish!

As soon as I got home I washed our pillows (water went yellowy-grey) and hoovered our mattress. Masses of yellowish dust came out, nothing like normal dust. Apparently the poo of squillions of the little buggers.

Oblomov22 · 22/06/2022 09:12

Yuk.
Please ask MN to move this thread to sporners.

MayBeee · 22/06/2022 09:36

@Oblomov22

I don't see why it needs ' tucking away '
The title alludes ( with sarcasm ) that the sight it's probably not a pretty one , so if you don't want to see it don't click on the post or enlarge the image.

Fair Warning*

if you’re particularly sensitive you’re not going to like my next post with pic.

Cornettoninja · 22/06/2022 09:39

Awwwww

We need them to fine tune our immune systems.

We would benefit from having intestinal parasites too.

Two kilos of your weight is bacteria in your gut (mostly). It's all good.

More likely that dust was mostly made up of dead skin cells, which are yellow
