My son's school council had proposed to the headteacher that in the summer the boys are allowed to wear (smart, school) shorts. This has been turned down as apparently shorts are "ungentlemanly". Have anyone's sons had better luck in persuading schools that shorts are ok and if so, how did they manage to get it done? Thank you!
