Toilets.....

A club I am heavily involved in, mainly male users, wants to add a nappy changing facility, it was suggested that it be put into the ladies' toilet. I said there needs to be one in the gents' too, as often it is the dads who come along with their babies. They said it wasn't feasible to get 2, I pointed out the ladies' is a single sex facility, and dads wouldn't be able to use it.
For context, the ladies' is a single room, also set up as the accessible toilet, although the building isn't accessible, so I consider that a moot point. The gents' has a cubicle and urinals.
Apart from the single sex situation, my other argument, is why it is acceptable for me/women to wait to use our only facility while a dad changes his baby's nappy.
Can anyone offer me any other points to make?

Where would you like the dad to change the baby nappy?

Is there space for a 'standalone' baby changing facility or is the only option to use part of the toilets?
I think your point is perfectly valid. If mostly men use the club but the changing is in the female toilets then how are men supposed to change their babies?

They anticipate men using the ladies', where I maintain there should be a facility in the gents' too.
Unfortunately, no room for a stand alone baby changing facility.

To be honest, it is perfectly possible to afford 2, I know it for a fact. They just don't want to put one in the gents'.

I see this so often in small buildings. The women's toilet is single occupancy and doubles as disability toilet and baby changing station. It already takes women longer to go to the bathroom due to our biology and then we have to share what little facilities we have with others too, making the lines even longer.

I hate being an afterthought.

The solution to this is having more of these changing facilities in men's rooms but not to ever have men come into the ladies.
