What time to go to Wembley for Harry Styles concert

I have for me and my DDs got tickets to go to see Harry Styles tomorrow. They are pitch tickets (standing). The doors open at 4pm but I see that he isn't on stage until 8.45ish.

DD wants us to get there at 1pm to queue so that we can get closer to the front but my issue is that once you are in you are in and the thought of being stuck on the pitch for four hours after queuing outside for a further 3 hours really doesn't float my boat at all. I'd prefer to get there at around 5.30pm so I don't lose a whole day to this event.

Does anyone know what the score is with such tickets? Is DD right?

My DD has just come home from his Manchester gigs. She and her friend started queueing about 1pm yesterday and they were right at the front.
Dont forget, depending on the layout at the stage their will be the different pods in front of general admission plus the early entry tickets.

Not sure of the rules re taking things in, but at Manchester people could take a bottle of water in and sun screen so definitely pack those in your bags.

I agree with PP, embrace it, queue early and have fun! Your DD will absolutely love the whole experience!

There are loads of TikTok's about the situation from the Manchester concert so I imagine your DD will know the script. We went to Manchester on Wednesday and it had been a sunny hot day, people had camped over night. We were seated next to the front section of standing and the girls were bright red from being out all day, so many were pulled by medical staff after fainting it was very scary to see.

@GrumioEstEbrius
Exactly!
I'll need the loo approximately 400 times and I'm hoping if we're near the back we're closer to any food/drink opportunities 😂

Dd showed me some footage of the back of the standing pitch at Manchester and it looked much more fun than the front!

"Rather you than me" is my only contribution to the debate!
Have fun though, and enjoy being with DD who is obviously looking forward to it very much.

crosbystillsandmash · 17/06/2022 19:34

I'm totally looking forward to it! I'm a seasoned gig goer but other than Glastonbury, I've never attended something so big!

Dd is a huge fan and I'm anticipating tears etc I'm tiny, so she's threatening to put me on her shoulders - that's where I draw the line!!

Have fun everyone who's going 😘

We were over looking the back of the front of the standing section on the first night in Manchester and there was a fantastic conga line going!

I'm 36, DD is 14 and we won the tickets on the radio on Monday. Honestly the look on her face just made me so emotional and happy, and seeing all the people around us just being who they want to be and be accepted was just amazing. You will have an amazing night - it took us 3 hours to get home which should've only taken 30 minutes and even taking that into consideration, I had the best night.

I hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread. DD is going on Sunday night and will need to leave early to get last train home from Charing Cross. I'm considering driving up to pick her and her friends up but have not been to Wembley in recent years and haven't parked. I can't take anyone with me for company as hubby is working. Can anyone recommend somewhere to pick the girls up from nearby to the stadium? It seems such a shame that they've paid for VIP tickets but will have to leave the concert early.

Circleblue · 17/06/2022 21:45

watched a very almost punch up once between some feisty Mothers at a Little Mix concert. It’s crazy the lengths some people will go to to get to the front at a concert, especially infront of their kids. Hope it goes ok OP!

SpiderinaWingMirror · 18/06/2022 12:00

@mummabear74 where are you coming from? Might be easier for them to get the underground to East London and you pick them up from there? Honestly Wembley and surrounds is rammed on event days.

Are none of you planning on peeing at all all day?

This. How the hell does anyone manage this?! I'm going to a concert next week that's standing only and I don't want to get stuck at the back because I need to use the loo as soon as I walk into the venue.

Presumably people think it's ok to leave the queue and rejoin if they're with friends. Doesn't work if you're on your own.

SpiderinaWingMirror · 18/06/2022 12:55

@Hallyup89 make friends with those next to you in the queue!

DD saw him in Manchester the other night and ended up watching the screens because they were so far back. So getting there earlier might pay off.

About to say the standing queues for Manchester were absolutely huge and if you wanted to get anything like a good view arriving after doors open or at doors open, it won't happen.

stratforduponavon · 18/06/2022 13:18

Wow. Harry Styles. I remember him on X Factor. He has got so popular

Newnormal99 · 18/06/2022 19:36

My DD view. She loves Mitski as well so very happy.

Did you have to park far from the stadium? I've never been to Wembley so I'm not sure what the parking is like there. I'm going to the show tomorrow and I'm kind of lost with what the parking is like there lol

Because he's amazing.
I'm a huge fan right back from the beginning.

I’ve got a Harry styles concert in a couple months, I will wait for more information closer to the date but I’m in the rest pitch (standing) and I want to get closer to the front. What time do you recommend I get there?

DD has pitch standing tickets soon and plans to get there about 7am, but then she's really committed to being down the front. Some hard-core fans will camp out the night before.

People will be camping out for a few days to be at the front. Some people get very lucky and turn up at the last minute and get a spot so there's no exact rule. We went to Manchester night one and it had been a fairly hot day, people were passing out in the pit and being taken out by paramedics before the concert even began so I'd be careful of that.

StrawberryLipstickStateOfMind1 · 30/04/2023 20:49

I'm fairly sure camping is banned.
I have a front pitch ticket and plan to get there for 6am.
I considered getting a pod ticket, I actually had 5 tickets, but sold 4.
I didn't get the pod ticket as they're so expensive and I spent the money on other gigs, but that's why I'm queuing all day, to get as close as possible.
Hopefully the weather will be good because it was bloody freezing at Ibrox last year and my planned outfit isn't a cold weather one!
I'm so excited, it's my 17th time seeing him, including 1D and he's always amazing.
I'm seeing Niall and Louis this year too, my first time seeing them solo.
