Excessive sweating in groin area

I posted this in Womens's Health and had a couple of helpful replies, just reposting here in case anyone has anything else to add.

Not a troll. Been on MN for years, frequent name changer, MNHQ welcome to check me out, name changed for this as so embarrassing.

I have a problem with excessive sweating in my groin/crotch area. Had it for years but seems to be getting worse as I get older (late 40s). I shower and wear clean cotton underwear every morning but by lunchtime I am damp and feel very uncomfortable. Luckily I only work mornings and have to shower and change when I get home. I'm sure it's not wee but do wear a tena light pad to try and absorb some of it. There's no way I could wear light colour trousers, dresses and skirts are difficult.

I can't even imagine going to the GP about this and starting the conversation. Anyone else out there who suffers and can give me any hope? I did read about botox but no idea if this is safe or effective l

You are def not alone.
I use very thin flannel between cs overhang/foldover and groin, otherwise I get a sort of intertrigo. This doesn't stop the sweating but stops the skin chafing.

I am nervous of skin sores developing so yeah, not sexy and adds to my silhouette a bit by lifting the flab/apron.

In dreamland I would have plastic surgery to remove this droopy flap. Oh well.

Try Asda’s liquid talc.

This just turns into a grey paste for me.

Get some wicking or dri-fit cycling shorts to wear under your clothes, and wear skirts/dresses.

Fellow sweater here.

I find shaving my pubic hair helps as doesn't hold the sweat as much.
I use washable bamboo pant liners to help absorb the sweat.
I also avoid sitting on plastic chairs, so embarrassing getting up and leaving a sweaty crack print behind.

It doesn’t for me.

Fellow groin sweater here . Started in my forties . Shaving just made it worse for me as the hair lifts the sweat off the skin . I know some women on here mock it but I use Vagasil Talc just where the legs join the body , it does bring comfort where showering or changing underwear is not convenient . I don't understand why putting padding there in the form of pads or whatever could help as it's more insulating to make that area hotter .
