Sandles for small children that don't run.

Boring question alert 🚨 I'm looking for sandles for my 6 year old that won't rub her feet. Seems like a simple request but I have not managed to find any that she can actually walk and run about in that don't fall off or rub the skin off. No to crocs, they all run and give blisters. Bonus points for them being easy to get on and off

Title should say RUB bloody auto correct

I've always found the practical sandals - so mesh type material -are always good for not rubbing. The 'dressier' sandals unless you go expensive always rub

I have stupid feet and even the most comfortable shoes/sandals rub until I can break them in. As a child I wore all sandals with ankle socks until they were broken in. Would that be an option?

"Sandals".

SpaceJamtart · 14/06/2022 13:13

I find the 'ugly' ones that look more like shoes with holes in are way less likely to rub than anything strappy, as the feet seem to stay still inside more than they would slipping about in less stuctures sandals

Thanks, good tips, yes she could wear socks. Be nice not too though.

Maybe something like this, I think they're called caged sandals

My 7yo DD has very narrow feet. I always go back to these. They fit her really well and go through the wash when they get dirty they are great
They did have some on the outlet store a few weeks ago

Clarks sandals are really soft and don't rub from my experience. I use them on my 2 and go for comfort over style.

Well I always go Clarks.

Any other cheaper ones have rubbed her or very obviously don't fit her well at all and also hardly lasted long at all.

But bear in mind as well that if you get a Clarks shop worker to fit the shoes and they do end up rubbing, then they'll actually exchange the shoes for you anyway (well you could get another pair and just pay the difference if that pair is more expensive)

Yodaisawally · 14/06/2022 19:28

Fisherman sandals I think they're called, we used to get them in M &S, no rubbing.

Personally I can't stand the Clark's doodles if they still do them.

Saltwater sandals are fab. My little one has worn nothing else the last few summers and we walk miles most days. Never had a single blister

IrisM22 · 14/06/2022 20:28

Kidly do a good range of decent sandals.

BusyBeaver · 14/06/2022 20:34

My dc have got on well with the multicolored casual sandals from M&S this year.

FASDE1517 · 14/06/2022 20:36

Liewood jellies are favourites here. They have poppers hidden under the buckles

NIKE sunrays. They're soft and durable. Dont rub. Velcro fastening. Even thrown them in wahsing machine when they got whiffy
