Personal situation impacting on work

Apologies if this is vague in parts but I could do with some urgent advice. My child was referred to a third sector organisation last year where after raising a serious safeguarding concern and having to share this with the workers manager, the worker then fabricated conversations and case notes, leading to a disingenuous referral and intervention. We are in the process of having these removed by evidencing they are not factual but this takes time due to needing review the evidence before agreeing. The impact of this fabricated information which has been shared within and across agencies has been slanderous to both me and my child’s reputation, and lead them to try to take their life on several occasions.

I have now found out that this worker is planning to visit a building/provision I have overall responsibility for with a view to delivering a service/working in partnership with the team

I am concerned professionally about the workers conduct but at this stage could only evidence that on a personal level, I am concerned my child who was engaged in the service before I changed role to become in charge will no longer be able to access this service, I am concerned the mention of their name may cause further emotional/psychological harm to my child, I am concerned about my reaction on having to meet them - I would be professional of course but emotionally I would struggle and I am concerned most of all about their professionalism and safeguarding with other YP

Can I refuse to work with them? Request another worker from the same organisation, ideas on how to manage having to be in contact with this person. The investigation into conduct is still ongoing

If this was true, I believe u wouldn’t be working with them in a professional capacity. Is this true?

How did the organisation come to have the contract? Was it your company that awarded it or local council/other provider?

I .not sure you can disclose their disciplinary to a third sector or even your own organisation but depends on how much away you have and how they came to be on your site.

This is an enormous conflict of interest for you.

Who is in control of the tender? What role do you have that would lead to contact with this person?

Can you have a professional discussion with the person managing the tender process about your current situation and the conflict of interest you have?

k for a LA, this is a third sector charity.

it is most defiantly true

if agreed, it will not be a contractically binding agreement but rather a discussion to potentially co- deliver services under a SLA.

I manage a team and within that 6 centres, one of which they are coming to view

I have set up a meeting with HR this afternoon and will liaises with manager tomorrow
