Hi I'm on 60mg duloxetine for the same. Was on 90 at one point but once hrt kicked in the sleepiness from duloxetine was too much.
I never had nausea but do know that it has to be titrated up or down vvslowly. Took me about 2 months to come down to 60.ive been on it about 4 years.
It may be you're going up too quickly?
Also maybe check about taking plorcholpromazine and metcloproamide together? I know in older people it can cause issues.
If side effects settle I do find it has managed my pain v well.
I hope it works out for you. Maybe phone go on Monday for advice?

When I started taking 30, then 60mg it took a couple of weeks for the afternoon nausea to subside. After that I always suffered with overheating and tiredness.

Absolutely nothing compared to stopping mind. Hell. If I'd know how bad the withdrawal issues were I wouldn't have started.

Oh the typos!? So sorry

GP has said to really try sticking it out as the benefits are really worth it, but my mind is racing and I can’t sleep.

GP has said I can take the anti sickness meds together for a week, I tried to get ondansetron as it works wonders on me but she said she’s not allowed to prescribe it.

i think I’ll go back down to 20mg and try taking it mid morning as hopefully it won’t then affect my sleep.

She was going to start me on 60mg, it’s my ultimate goal, can see that may take a long time, so glad to hear it’s helped you though.

I’ve seen that a lot, does reducing the dose down slowly not help? I am really nervous of this but the only thing that helps for me is Co codamol which they don’t like me being on long term, so it was try this or nothing until I can get my pain clinic appt.

If this doesn’t work then I guess they make let me take the painkillers for longer

Someone warned me to taper slowly. My GP suggested 60 to 30 to 20 to 0 but I spent 6 months slowly removing the beads out of the capsules to taper gently.

It's no reason to not start and everyone handles drugs differently but I would have appreciated the info from my GP prior to finding out firsthand.

I had to stop taking it (for fibro) as the minimum dosage was too high for me. The pharmacist linked to gp surgery managed to find me a half dose capsules and they worked, and no side effects. Unfortunately they are too expensive to prescribe as not a normal manufacturing dose so I cant have it, and since its capsule form I cant take half a dose. Capsules should be banned for this reason grrrrr
