So sorry for the terrible title, it just popped into my head.
On a serious note, this relates to the cost of food. As I was doing my shopping today, I noticed that 500g of Countrylife butter is £4.15! We like this brand, it's not even particularly a high end butter but I decided to choose a cheaper one.
Then I thought about this in terms of somebody's wage. For someone who is on the national working wage, a £4.15 tub of butter is nearly the equivalent of half an hours work!
It's just crazy.
I'm interested to know what changes people have made to their shopping or maybe even diet in line with the cost of living?
In our family, we've definitely felt the pinch with the price of formula milk but luckily dd is nearly one so we'll be switching completely soon.
