What are the main attractions? Going in September.
We've already done the science museum.. Is kelgingrove art museum good for kids?
We're staying either in jury's inn on Jamaica Street or premier in St Enochs Square..
All tips appreciated!

Transport museum they may like, and there is plenty in Kelvingrove.

We were there last sunmer for a few nights albeit with one slightly older as well as a 9yr old.
We always love the Transport museum and the ship behind it. Both free.
We did Kelvingrove and a picnic behind at the skate park. Fun to watch even if not skaters.
We found it fun just to pop on and off the subway and went on it up to Loop&Scoop a gelato and churro place up the west end.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn express at St Enochs and it was easy to get to places from there.

We were lucky that they were filming Indiana Jones at the time so just milling around the streets was fun.and we saw some filming.

Burrell Collection Museum - set in lovely parkland.

Great science museum too.

Tall Ship behind the transport museum (different organisation so check opening on Facebook).
The burrell collection is newly refurbished I’ve not been yet but heard good reports.

Try the Hunterian Museum. It’s in the West End and walking distance from Kelvingrove. It’s in the main building of Glasgow Uni and has a nice mixture of exhibits. There is also the Hunterian Art Gallery nearby but less fun for kids.

Glasgow cathedral and the necropolis are lovely for a walk. West end for cafes/restaurants and Independent shops although there are loads not far from your hotels but more chains. I seen people mention the Burrell collection, I think it might still be closed for renovation…

I took my 11 & 7 year old to People's Palace last week & they enjoyed it.
There's also a playground on Glasgow Green next to it which was good for bigger ones.
We saw the open top bus, which we didn't have time for - but they enjoyed Edinburgh & London versions.
