Teacher Gift

As my daughter is approaching the end of P1 I'm thinking about what to get her teachers as a gift. I would rather get them something that wasn't tat. Would something like an M&S voucher be more appreciated than wine/chocolates etc?

Plants are good gifts but of course not everyone likes them.

A voucher is a safe bet, unless you really want to give a physical gift!

I say this every year. I’m a teacher. I’m tolerably well paid, and have a secure job. Really, don’t worry about buying a gift. If your dc will feel a bit left out if they don’t have a present to take in, a £1 box of maltesers is fine.

BTW, my teenage dc see my pile of chocolates as a family perk.

If you think your dc’s teacher has been good, write them a note to tell them. If you think they’ve been brilliant, tell the headteacher.

@Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies thank you. It's good to hear from a teacher's perspective.

Hey, Our friends asked teachers, nursery workers and childminders what they really wanted from kids and many of them said a handwritten note is the best! I usually do a voucher.

I usually do a Starbucks/Costa voucher! Always seems to go down well.
