Don't you love this time of year when all the kids look like their clothes have shrunk?

Just parked up outside DSs school (year 8). Every teenage boy coming out has half mast trousers on, nice to see that DS isn't the only one! Just got to get 7 more weeks out of his uniform. His jumpers are just as bad, riding up his back and arms. It's illogical to wait until September really but I don't think you can beat a new uniform to start the year in.

DSs primary give out their leavers hoodie at Easter as they've all outgrown their uniform then. It's a very sensible decision.

I remember my daughters school shoes, with just two weeks to go, literally falling apart. I had to buy her new ones and just hoped she wouldn't grow out of them over the summer.
She hasn't grown since she was 12 (17 now) so she had got a few years west out of her uniform. My son needed replacing throughout the year as he wore his clothes out more frequently.

My dd gets excluded if she wears too short trousers. Distracts the boys and male teachers if they accidentally flash an ankle. So I don’t wait to buy new uniform

Should have added apparantly.. it’s batshit and sexist. The boys can wear half mast trousers 😡
