Teenage boy bag

If your teenage boy wanted to carry a water bottle and jumper, what would they use?

My SN boy is walking and out of his wheelchair for the time being so dumping everything on the wheelchair isnt possible anymore and he drinks a lot of water. I can't carry much myself as I've injured my back so he needs to carry his (limited) essentials comfortably. He's struggling mentally at the moment and cant tell me if something is uncomfortable or not (unless it's my trying to put him in anything other than crocs and tracksuit trousers 😁). I really need recommendations!

Nike backpacks seem de rigeur

My ds sticks his water bottle in his shorts pocket and would maybe tie the jumper round his waist.

If it has to be a bag then a small backpack or rucksack is probably best

Is that a normal backpack or a drawstring? I like the idea of a drawstring as he could pack it away when he didn't need it but I wonder how comfortable they are

That would probably for DS if he had big enough pockets or he wasn't liable to accidentally dump them in the loo. He probably needs two water bottles too (one full one nearly empty in his hand) which might be a bit much. I guessed a backpack but was looking for recommendations

I would get a small hiking backpack tbh. Wide straps are more comfy to carry heavy stuff like water.

I have no recommendations I'm afraid but - if I've understood your post correctly - well done to you both. You sound like a great mum.

Ds has an adidas backpack for school that has mesh side pockets for water bottles so that they are easier to access

I'd wondered about a mini hiking backpack too. It's what I'm going to be using for the time being. Mine has pink flowers on though so not right for DS 😁😁

Adidas / Nike / stuff from Sports Direct are popular. My teen boys like plain black without logos. One of them has a very small plain black backpack from Mountain Warehouse for when his pockets aren’t big enough. The 14yo is still happily using a bright blue Kipling bag with attached furry chimp to carry his diabetes supplies though.

😳😊😊Thank you. Its so complex atm but your comments made me well up a little. Solving the little practicalities when I cant solve the big stuff is reassuring.

Sling bags are very comfortable (backpacks with one diagonal strap) and easy to get on and off if that might be an issue?

Id say a small backpack. Not drawstring they're not comfortable
