Centre Parcs - Pine area

Lube packed and ready to go to cp in a couple of weeks.

I was a bit worried when I saw how far out the pine area is, has anyone been? I've got a 4 year old and 6 month old so I'm worried about tired legs, I know there are solutions for pushing both and it will be doable either way, but if anyone has got any experience or advice it would be much appreciated!

No idea on the pine area, but enjoy your bumming. Wink

The 6 month old might struggle, I'd put him in a buggy, even if he is a super advanced MN child.

Wallawallakoala · 03/06/2022 16:43

Buggy for baby haha just don't want mardy PFB asking to be carried whilst I'm pushing!

I stayed in Pine recently. My 3 year old managed the walk because basically I said a flat no as I'm pregnant, but yes it was a bit of a challenge! We did wish we'd brought bikes and one of those things you can pull kids in in hindsight.

Monkeybutt1 · 03/06/2022 17:14

Your optimistic, 2 young kids and you've packed the lube! 😂

Which village is it?

Which village is it?

Totally this, we always did Whinfell with toddlers/babies and Sherwood with tweens/teenagers, we rarely venture south Wink

Which Centre Parcs is it? If it's Longleat, Pine is pretty close to the dome but a long way from the lake area. Are you hiring bikes? There's a land train at Longleat, not sure about the others.

Sallypally0 · 03/06/2022 18:55

4 years old should be able to walk a few kilometers no problems. Put the little one in the pram.

Wallawallakoala · 03/06/2022 22:22

Oh yeah sorry it's Sherwood!

4yo should be fine I just can't really gauge how far it really is that's kind of what I'm hoping people can tell me.

The map says 1 square - 1 minute but it was a more realistic opinion on this considering two kids.

We will just have to make time @Monkeybutt1 ! It's what you have to do!

Balance bike for the 4 year old?

DigitalGhost · 03/06/2022 22:32

Rent a bike with a trailer. This is what we did when we had a 3 yo and a 6 month old. Took it in turns pushing the pram/riding the bike.

Landlubber2019 · 03/06/2022 22:34

We taught both ours to scooter at Sherwood, go and enjoy!

aSofaNearYou · 03/06/2022 22:44

About half an hour I would say OP.

Wallawallakoala · 04/06/2022 00:22

Yeah 4yo has a bike and a scooter so should be fine if it's half an hour that's manageable.

Looked into the bike with trailer, thanks for the recommendation I think we will do that!
