Occlusal trauma

Hey any dentists on?.
I've had 2 rootfillings in the last few months and on the opposite side I had a filling done.
I'm still struggling to bite on either and I am certain they are right when they say occlusal trauma. I have a lower biteguard that I was grinding into and making my teeth sore. I then was told to have an upper splint. I have had it 5 days and when I wake in the morning I can tell I'm clenching.
So my question is how long will take for it to help me?. I'm only asking as I have had toothache now since han 2021. It's much better than it was but still x

Dental nurse here. Sound like your bite is off since your restorations. Your dentist needs to use articulating paper to adjust your bite a tiny bit at a time.

Hi.
My bite isn't off unfortunately ( though it feels that way). That post was from months ago. I have had some reduction in the pain from using an upper biteguard.
I went to have an apicectomy today and he said there is no infection there. My issue is where it should be tooth, bone then gum. I have no bone covering the root tip he said so that now I have to live with the discomfort or have the tooth removed.
I know you can bone graft for an implant but I wondered if you can bone graft around an existing tooth. So I really hope an dentist can advise me so I can be more forceful if I ask for this option. If its not even an option then at least I know.
