Help me find a present/thank you gift!

A friend has generously taken DS1 (11yo) away with her family for a week at their holiday home in a popular tourist area. She refused offers of money/food etc before they left, but I feel compelled to thank them with something tangible once they're back. Any ideas? They are fairly comfortable financially but are not fussy about material things (ie no brand snobbery I know of).

All suggestions gratefully received!

Big box of very nice chocolates.

I think a nice hamper which you could make up yourself if money is tight for you.

The best gift anyone ever gave me was a sleepover for my child. They said it was easy.

What a lovely friend! I’d go with booze personally. Either wine (bottle of nice red, white and rosé) or a special gin/vodka or whatever. It’s just a gesture, it’s nice to make the effort for someone who’s gone out of their way for you so if it’s not something they actually drink the sentiment will still be massively appreciated.
This sort of thing happened to us once, the aunt of a friend of dds took the friend and dd to their holiday house because she was going to be working most of the week but the girls would have each other.
We sent a case of wine to say thanks as she refused money both before and after the trip.

Thanks all! I have gone for a thank you card containing a generous voucher for a local wine shop, and a bunch of flowers which are already in water so they don't have to hunt down a vase. Ds will send his own thank you card once he's had a night's sleep at home to recover from the exertion of the holiday😂
