People who are LOUD outside, in the very early morning - WTF?

I walk the dogs at around 7.10am every morning. I am very quiet. My dogs are very quiet. If we see someone, I might nod, but I wouldn't dream of shouting pleasantries at that time in the morning. I walk along the coastal path, which is fringed with apartments, and if I was to speak at normal volume, it would definitely wake people up. However, I seem to be the only person who thinks about the fact that others may be sleeping. People boom "GOOD MORNING", or they call their dogs name, at the top of their lungs, or they have loud chats on the phone, with friends who are on loud speak. Thankfully it is not a busy walkway, hence it's very noticeable when someone shouts.

Our postman is equally as annoying. No matter what time he gets here, he slams closed every single iron gate, at full force, so a huge CLANG can be heard, over and over again, as he makes his way along the street.

My neighbour 2 doors down, thinks nothing of singing at the top of his voice, in his back garden at 7am, he also will decant rubbish in to the outside bin at 7am and slam the lid closed creating a big bang.

Is it me?

People with no indoor voice have pissed me right off today! Bearing in mind I was with my two DC who are hardly silent themselves, we sat on the train next to another table with two kids who proceeded to bellow at each other no-stop for the whole journey to the extent that my DD had her head on the table as they were driving her mad! My two chatterboxes were like monks in comparison, it was really really loud and the mum was also pretty loud. You’re right next to each other! Shouting is not needed!

Then we went to the cinema - it was a matinee kids film so more noise expected, which is fair enough, but it wasn’t kids rustling and whispering that was the issue, it was parents coming in late and talking at the absolute top of their voices for ages about where they were sitting, who was next to who… FFS sort yourselves out and sit the fuck down. What could possibly need such a long, loud conversation during the film?

When even my children come out saying “we can see why you always tell us off for talking too loudly” now you know everyone else was really turning up the volume.

I'm a teacher. 50% of the kids I teach have no volume control at ALL. It is one of my biggest bugbears and I give out all manner of lectures, reminders, hard stares and behaviour points for shrieking. It makes absolutely no difference - exactly as you have pointed out, because parents are howling at their children at home. One hour a day of being told to speak in a normal voice vs hours at home - which presumably is like a rock concert? No contest.
