Describing yourself in 3 words in 'fun' work setting

Last week we had a team building event during which one of the activities was to describe certain things in 3 words in 5 seconds (according to randomly drawn cards)

One of my colleagues had to describe herself... she said 'fun, kind and nice' - all of which is totally true, and it's lovely that she she recognises those qualities in herself.

However if I'd drawn this card, there's no way I'd have said something nice about myself. I'd probably have said 'disorganised, highly-strung...' not sure about the third.

I guess I wouldn't want to presume things about myself that others may not agree with (which is probably not a good thing). Would your natural instinct to be positive or self-deprecating in this situation?

These things are always a bit awkward. I wouldn't want to put myself down OR brag. So I'd just do a bit of both.

I think your friend's sound a bit simple since kind and nice basically mean the same thing. But highly strung isn't one I'd choose for an intro!

Haha well they all know me very well so probably know this is true 😆

You're right re kid and nice, although you only 5 second to come up with things so I guess they were just the first words they came to her head

I think a balance is probably right as you say!

I think it's hard to do these "fun" work challenges so wouldn't want to judge her. It's work so you want to come across as confident and good at social skills, not everyone's forte. Lazy, deeply casual and makes a mean G&T may not go down well with the trainer.

That's true!

It was actually just our team (no trainer) on this occasion. It just seemed natural and effortless for her!
