Duvet help

Posting here for more traffic.
I want a duvet that’s light in the sense of being cool for spring and summer, but has that lovely puffy feel. Don’t mind whether it’s natural fibre like down, or synthetic (although recycled fibre would be a plus).
Does anyone have any recommendations? And what do I look for when looking online - tog? Weight? Loft?
TIA

I noticed that Dunelm had really light ones something like 1 tog.
I wasnt looking for duvets at the time bit they caught my eye as I walked past so I didnt feel the display one.

WildFlowerBees · 05/06/2022 15:50

@DameHelena did you find a duvet? I'm looking for similar.

McConkeysPlate · 05/06/2022 15:52

Simba make the best duvets.

No, but there’s another thread on the subject (well, sort of): www.mumsnet.com/talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4558590-why-are-duvets-so-thin

I’ve just been using a slightly lighter one than my winter down one. It’s a tiny bit warm, but nice and puffy. Let me know if you find a good one!

Wool is puffy and comes in a range of togs.

DameHelena · 05/06/2022 18:33

Is it a bit warm though?

No wool is brilliant at regulating temperature. So warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s hot.

DameHelena · 05/06/2022 18:38

Ok. Sounds good. Thank you!

My wool duvet (from Baavet) is the furthest thing from puffy. It is a layer of wool about 1” thick. I love it, but it doesn’t tick the ‘puffy’ box.

RandomMess · 05/06/2022 18:42

Hmmmm my previous duvet was silk so perhaps not the best comparison?

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 05/06/2022 18:43

True. Wool isn’t thin like an Asda duvet, but then it’s isn’t instagram puffy either. It’s more like ‘thick but light’ - difficult to describe! They do need fluffing to keep them semi puffy. (or given a good shake when needing to divest if excess energy or annoyances).

allsogreen · 05/06/2022 18:43

I totally love my wool duvet. It is perfect for regulating temperature, and beuatifully drapey. But it is definitely not puffy if that is what you want.

Fedupsotired · 05/06/2022 19:55

We've got a summer duvet I hate! It's not heavy enough so keeps riding up

LottaHogs · 05/06/2022 20:11

Another vote for Baavet. I have the thinnest one and I love it. Made in the UK too.
