I think it really suits her, suits. Her colouring and is a really good idea

It's a Rich Person Thing.

Dribbled some coco pops down my £800 white cashmere jumper? No bother, I'll just bin it and send the housekeeper upstairs to get a new one.

Arnaque · 28/05/2022 18:39

I hadn't noticed she wears it all the time but as you say when you're that rich you don't have to worry if it gets ruined.

I didn’t realise she always wears white.

I rarely have bad opinions of ‘celebs’ but I absolutely can’t stand her husband. They’re well suited I think. Awful pair.

I disagree. My BIL worked for red bull from when it began as Jackie Stewart's team in the late 90's. He was made redundant last year after F1 introduced a cost cap to the sport. A lot of staff were made redundant. Christian Horner showed up on BIL's last day to thank him for all his work and say goodbye. Many bosses would have hidden in their office or avoided the office altogether but it meant the world to BIL that he showed up to wish him well.

I think part of it is that white stands out in photos, especially with her colouring. Plus she can afford to maintain a wardrobe of crisp white things!

This was my first thought. A white wardrobe is costly to maintain

I think he had an affair with her after she decided she wanted him as a partner. Although I havent met them and dont have strong opinions on the whole issue (didnt know she only wore white!) but I dont think that makes him sound great. Or her.

Christian Horner had been the partner of another woman for years. Years. Became a father to her two sons; eventually they had a daughter themselves. Within months of the birth he had left her for Geri Halliwell. His parents were so disgusted with his behaviour that they refused to attend the wedding.

She looks like the number taker.

Had to google and am so pleased I did. 😂

DolphinaPD · 28/05/2022 18:55

I want to know why she thinks she's some sort of aristocrat now.

This one gets all the prizes. 🤣
It’s so true!

TokyoTen · 28/05/2022 18:57

As a fashion strategy I think it's a bit lazy and boring. Nothing against Geri obviously and I don't know her but it doesn't seem exciting to have all white every time, a bit like she can't be bothered - although I'm sure that's not the case.

Indoctro · 28/05/2022 18:57

I always wonder about her accent.? She sounds very posh these days but in the spice girl days she very much didn't

I always thought your accent stemmed from your childhood and is not something that changes over time.

Highlyquestionablehoumous · 28/05/2022 18:58

I think the fact Horners own parents refused to attend his wedding to Geri says a lot. His partner had only just had a baby when he dumped him for Geri, who had been hanging around the F1 circuit for a good while before they 'got together'.

I am also Hmm at her new 'wealthy posh lady in white' persona, but I doubt she gives a fuck! At least she sorted out Christian Horners terrible haircut though, it was one of the first things to change when they became a couple!

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 28/05/2022 18:59

Hi Geri! You were in the year below me at school. You always stood out TBF!

To answer your question, I think anyone wearing the same of anything day in day out is a sign of slight… madness… but I don’t dislike a touch of the loon. Makes people interesting!

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 28/05/2022 19:00

PS. You did indeed wear a beautiful wedding gown and looked amazing.

Ducksurprise · 28/05/2022 19:02

JubileeQueen · 28/05/2022 17:42

🤣 I'm not sure this is the look Geri is going for but you are spot on!

This is one of the funniest but most apt posts I've ever read on MN. I shall never be able to get that thought out if my mind.

I wouldn't say she does, her husband isn't titled.

youlightupmyday · 28/05/2022 19:04

What is a number taker????

Eatingpizza · 28/05/2022 19:17

I am not being snarky (i actually find the idea of someone wearing such an unpractical colour interesting/entertaining). But why has this come up now?

I found this article from 2019 www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/9549714/geri-horner-white-spice-ditches-colour/

Had she been wearing nothing but white for the last 3 years?! That would be bizarre.

My accent has changed a lot. I had a strong regional accent in childhood but then spent 30 ish years of adulthood moving around and working in jobs where I spoke to a lot of people in the UK & Internationally where my accent could be tricky for them to understand and sadly, could also be a barrier to progression in those days. Plus, I wasn’t being exposed to other people speaking in the same accent, so I lost it and my accent neutralised a lot though I still have some telltale sounds in there.

On the flip side, I also know people who left their childhood region as young adults and retain their strong regional accent 40, 50, 60 years on. Some of us are more susceptible to picking up accents than others, I suppose.

I wouldn't say she does, her husband isn't titled.

On their last tour she dressed as a queen and there have been a few references imo, that seems like she thinks she's mote elevated than she actually is.

LadyEloise1 · 28/05/2022 19:26

I can't admire a woman who goes off with a man whose wife/partner has just had a baby.

Haha, this made me laugh! Loved a bit of the Number Jacks. Very catchy tunes...

lots of celebs adopt an accent that's a tad plummier than their original one. Robson Green and Donna Air come to mind. Madonna during her Guy Ritchie phase.

She's always had that social climber thing about her. But whenever I've heard her interviewed, I'm always struck by how incredibly boring she is.

BOOTS52PollyPrissyPants · 28/05/2022 19:59

Nothing really especially after she wrecked a marriage so her and him well suited. Think she looks very old now and has a put on accent to try to sound posh.

StrawberryLipstickStateOfMind1 · 28/05/2022 20:05

I think sometimes it's just picking up the accent around you, but sometimes its just weird Liam Payne at the oscars
