Rash on DD face.

Any ideas anyone? I was thinking it's hand foot and mouth as she has had it before but I'm not sure. There isn't any anywhere else, just the cluster under her lip then one or 2 individual ones on her face. Any help appreciated!

It's the right place for impetigo.. if it goes crusty , yellowish or spreads... docs!

Littleroundsponge · 25/05/2022 23:28

Impetigo maybe?

toastedbagiel · 25/05/2022 23:30

Impetigo was suggested on your previous post, you agreed and said you are calling the GP in the morning.

The latest Monkeypox outbreak looks like chicken pox blisters like that and can affect children too. Might something else, but get it checked.

Does she dribble? DD used to get a sore rash on her chin when she was teething and dribbling a lot. A good layer of barrier cream and making sure I wiped her face clean regularly (constantly) throughout the day, drying it well and reapplying the cream used to work well for clearing it up.

She hasn't got monkey pox for crying out loud! Have you not seen who the target group is?

MarmiteCoriander · 26/05/2022 16:36

@HollowTalk - there isn't a 'target group' for monkey pox! It has affected women and children too and has just seen more prevalence in certain groups in the UK. A&E's, paeds departments and sexual health clinics have all been told to look out for blister like rashes which can't be explained by another disease processes.

I agree it looks far more like impetigo, but the OP should get it checked if concerned.

This looks just impetigo…
