@CannotCopia I get those carrots too!
@Shekissedagirlandshelikedit totally agree that things are on the slide.
I agree that Ocado should make it clear that they cycle Star Reviewer around or stop the scheme. It puts me off a little bit to think people got the item for free and I don't trust their reviews, so I'm not sure it works in promoting a brand.
I've been with Ocado for my main shop since they started (almost 20 years?). I used to get a lot of great free samples and the anniversary voucher/wine/chocs in the early days. I was a "Star Reviewer" about 6 years back for about 4 months and offered things now again during that time, never since. I have a weekly delivery, my adult kids like the vegan stuff and different grains (Tofoo, La boulangere vegan croissants, millett, barley couscous etc)and other companies have often let us down with those kind of things on delivery. I agree with others the veg is now miniscule. There are lots of out of stock/not delivered items, especially those on offer. Meat with a use by date of next day (but about 4 days use by on the receipt). I check my receipt like a hawk as there have been expensive but billed missing items and offers not given quite often in the past year.
I often try other supermarkets delivery, sometimes cancel my midweek Smart pass for a couple of months ( and never get a call about it/they don't seem bothered), tried physical shops in Aldi and Lidl ( but have moved too far from these now)with top ups of stuff they don't stock but return as Ocado have the no quibble on line refund system and they delivered to me all through the pandemic. I check other stores prices so shop very wisely and price sensitively to keep the ocado bill in line with what I would pay in Tesco/sainsburys etc and cook from scratch. So although my bill is large perhaps I don't buy enough high mark up goods to get favoured with "Star Reviewer"
It would be nice to get the "anniversary" gift/voucher again. Haven't had one for many years. I also think I'm too nice when there is a major cock up, or very late delivery due to break down/tech issues (been a lot of these lately). I usually say that I understand these things happen where as my friends say when they get a phone call about it from Customer services or phone up/email themselves they always make a big noise and get vouchers ( and they spend nowhere near as much or as often with Ocado). Sadly, loyalty these days and being chill/understanding of mistakes with companies gets you nowhere.
There are 5 adults in our house all WFH, often their mates round too - so we get a lot of food and spend around 10k+ a year with them. Where we live now ( compared to when we lived in London) there are lots of empty delivery slots. You would think they would want to keep us sweet with a few freebies/samples. Only ever get offered their silly Magazine.
