Are there any podcasts where the hosts don't waffle?

I'm trying to become a fan of podcasts but so many of them are so waffly. I can take a little banter but sometimes it feels like going somewhere with two friends and the other two start conversing and proceed to ignore you for the rest of the evening. So often it's barely related. I don't care what they did with a stapler in third grade!

I'm enjoying Shedunnit because it gets straight to the point. Are there any other podcasts out there which are relatively concise?

TIA

Uncanny has pretty much no waffling

The best I've heard was the homeschool histories!
Otherwise I like The Moth, and Story Collider.

If you like Homeschool Histories, the presenter, Greg Jenner, also does "You're Dead To Me", which is very waffle free for a podcast with two guests on it. It's excellent, I would strongly recommend it.

I prefer radio documentaries as they're properly edited. But have started to enjoy podcasts more as they've got less waffly. The Rest Is History has a bit of chat but I find it good anyway, I'm enjoying Slow Burn about Watergate and I absolutely loved The Coming Storm and the one about the Post Office scandal on BBC Sounds. In general if you search BBC Sounds documentaries you'll do fine.

The Rest is Politics with Rory Stewart and Alastair Campbell.

Full Disclosure with James O’Brien.

I'm going to second, You must remember this. Exceptionally well researched and a massive back catalogue

Hit Parade is also fantastic. Even if the topic isn't music I'd listen to I still find each pod really interesting.

You probably should avoid podcasts that are panel shows or have multiple hosts and you'll be fine. But if you like the presenters occasional waffle is ok.

I second Crime analyst.
Also like noble blood. She speaks very slowly and has a very warm voice.
Slow burn.

Bad People on BBC Sounds.

Brydon & is good: Rob Brydon interviews actor chums of his. All very cosy and self-indulgent so for fans only. 😄

Criminal
Cautionary Tales
Real Dictators
Side Ways

Bad People and Evil Genius are both excellent but you may find them too chatty.

Casefile is good for this - gets straight to the point, no waffling!
