As long as you can find a matching door to go with the existing kitchen it should be easy enough
the plumbing will stay the same

I’m not sure. When we replaced our integrated dishwasher, we had a limited range to choose from. Aren’t the dimensions different because of the decor panel?

We did this with a dishwasher. I had a spare door for when the freestanding dishwasher finally gave up the ghost...took 20 odd years 😅

We had to take the plinth off, slide the dishwasher in with attached door and replace a continuous plinth

Sourcing a new plinth was a problem but in the end went with MDF which we had cut to size and varnished. Luckily it was a brilliant colour match

Just seen a previous reply regarding size

They are made to go in a standard 600mm gap with 600mm door (DS had a built in washing machine and his is the same. It screws into the frame of the cupboards either side

This is ours with plinth, you can't see it but it has a small piece cut out to allow the door to open but probably wouldn't need with a WM

thanks
i’ll talk to a kitchen fitter about it
Yes I thought the point will need replacing and extending but it’s white so easy enough to get hold of
but it’s more the fact the new washer dryer will need to sit into some. Sort of housing that could be tricky as it’s just a big void for a free standing one
getting a white gloss door and handle will also be easy

No it doesn't need a housing at all. It sits in the usual 'void' a freestanding one does, so long as its 600mm wide with units either side. They just dont have the nice outside panels a freestanding one does
