Is it only me that things don't work for.

So a few examples of what hadn't worked.

  1. Going to the gym, I've joined a gym 3 months ago, go at least 2 x a week. So firstly no endorphins at all no feeling goid when I've been, and also I'm finding everything harder than when I started, I used to be able to do a 30min run, struggle to do 15 mins.
  1. Smoking, gave up 3 years ago, feel no better and the urge still hasn't gone I coukd have a cigarette right now.
  1. Botox for relaxing wrinkles, nope no improvement.
  1. Teeth whitening, proper through the dentists, 10 syringes, nope doesn't work.

I'm sure there's more but sometimes I feel like it's not worth trying.

Oh dear! I know about the smoking. It takes 10+ years to have no cravings at all. I have a theory that cravings are like space invaders, you have to shoot all the different ones down. Keep on not smoking though. Three years quit is a real danger time.

As for the gym, may I suggest a personal trainer? Knowing about resistance training revolutionised my experience.

I sometime think I've missed the boat on self care, I'm nearly 60 and feel I look good for my age, but see all these youngsters making themselves look better, (I'm not talking ridiculous lip fillers etc) with beautiful straight white teeth and perfect bodies and think, yeah I'd like a bit of that please. But when I try it doesn't work, I was happy for my teeth to be not 100% perfect but a few shades lighter would have made all the difference. I will continue going to the gym, but its just bloody hard work. And I can't really afford a personal trainer.

I used to go to the gym lots in my 20’s. If I stayed in a hotel for work, I used theirs. Never had that feel good feeling after doing a session. Did lots of classes too.
Bf both dds and never lost the weight. My first dd never slept, even as a newborn.

I took dihydrocodeine a while back for toothache and was most disappointed I didn't get the lovely floaty feeling that others said they get off it 😂
