What are your favourite penny/pic and mix sweets?

I am shamefully addicted to gummy sweets.

No matter how old I get, I'll never stop loving strawberry laces, foam mushrooms or jelly sharks. Cola bottles(not fizzy) are up there too. I especially love the larger thicker cola bottles that Poundland sell in their pick and mix stand, not to mention their orange bottles and cherries.

What's your favourite?

Fruit salads ,
flying saucers
Fizzy laces
White mice
Black Jack's
Dazzle drops

If fact pretty much most of the options except cola flavored ones .

Any fizzy ones but also rhubarb and custard sticks (not the hard boiled ones)

White mice and liquorice Catherine wheels.

Oh and though not a pick and mix item I love sherbert fountains and cream soda sherbet but god it made me cough if it went down the wrong way!

Powdered milk bottles!

Can I just highlight here, Iceland sell many of these sweets flavours as Ice Lollies and the cola bottle one is 😋

I like all the chalky ones like dolly beads, Love Hearts, sweet cigarettes. I don't like jelly sweets or chews.

Ha ha I did that with liquorice root ( the wooden stick)

I also liked coltsfoot rock .

Tropi-Frutti were my favourite haribo til I had too many and too many perry's when I was pregnant with dd2.

Oh yes, I like those. I love owt chalky.

I love Black and Reds but the slightly firmer ones not the softer jelly ones. Also love fried eggs, cola bottles. Walking home from junior school (early 90s) we’d stop off at the corner shop and I swear those 10p mix bags were the stuff of dreams. We’d get a twist n squeeze drink and a Pushpop or those lollies that doubled as a whistle.

Friday nights going to the off-licence with the tiny video shop in the corner picking up something to watch and a Ben Shaws shandy and a big bar of Fruit and nut. What more could you wish for at 11 🤣

I'm gluten free so its a little trickier but OMG I have found 2 GF sweets that I have to stop ordering!!! Hahahaha Swirly Fish and Funky Fruits shamefully I ate a whole box of funky fruits the other day, it took all day but still..... thats bad!!! Theyre immense i can't help myself! hahahah <3

Wilkos have half price pick and mix at the moment - today I got a massive cup filled with fizzy jelly sweets for 2 quid!
