Has anyone been to see this is London with their kid/s?

The tickets I'm looking at are pricey (over £100 each) and I'm thinking of taking my DD 4yo but don't want to waste my money on a rubbish show!

It’s really good. I took DD for her birthday and we both really enjoyed it. It was not long after all the covid restrictions went so it could have been a bit of that but it brought me to tears in a couple of places. The Lion King still just about edges it for me but Frozen was very good. Samantha Barks was just amazing.

It’s obviously a full length show, not a kids show so she’d need to sit still for a couple of hours.

OMG it is the best musical ever!

I went a few weeks ago by myself. Was just looking for something to do whilst in London with work and got a cheap last minute ticket.

I was absolutely blown away. Its so good.

There were loads of kids in the audience. There was an announcement at the start to remind people not to sing along. Its quite an early show in comparison to others starts at 7pm and is finished by 915pm and I am sure that is to accommodate the amount of children attending.

I can't wait to see it again.

We went as a couple, no kids. It was fantastic, would highly recommend!

Januaryppo · 20/05/2022 17:29

We haven't been yet but have tickets. When you book the strongly recommended you don't bring children under 6. So unless your DD is really well behaved she might be a bit young.

I understand. She's been to the theatre before and is v well behaved. Actually we're off to see a 75min long performance this weekend so I'll see again how she goes.

My 4 yo loved it and sat mesmerised through the whole performance. I loved it too!

sunflowerdaisyrose · 20/05/2022 17:43

Mine loved it! So did we. One of mine has always loved theatre since she was tiny and took her to Matilda at 4 and she was fine. The other wouldn't have been ok at 4 (loves theatre now at 6) but some definitely are ok that young.

Our adult son went with my sisters and they all thought it was excellent , they go to lots of musicals .

Charlavail · 20/05/2022 17:46

DD went at four and loved it. We don't live in London so it was a long (expensive) day but well worth it.

MarshaBradyo · 20/05/2022 17:47

DD loved it, she had just turned four

Ds did too, he’s older though

I thought it great, Olaf was v well done

Emma330912 · 20/05/2022 18:15

We really loved it, the special effects are amazing

nc888 · 21/05/2022 22:46

Thanks all! I've booked for me and DD Smile
