Our committee has arranged a bouncy castle for the jubilee it will be free.
Can anyone suggest a company who can provide public liability insurance The hire company are dropping it off and we are manning it ourselves. The company are not covered for liability unless they man the bouncy castle.
We need to arrange our own public liability insurance.
Any suggestions please ?

Try covermarque.com we've just used them for something similar.

Do you not have PLI anyway as a PTA though?

Google Graham Sykes pli. He does stall insurance, not sure about bouncy castle but he might have suggestions.

What do you mean by 'dropping it off'?

HSE provide the following advice about bouncy castles:

www.hse.gov.uk/entertainment/fairgrounds/inflatables.htm

Their recommendation that 'there should be constant supervision by at least one suitably trained person' sounds at odds with the company not providing supervision, and I do wonder if you will even get insurance if it isn't set up and supervised in accordance with the HSE guidance.

Not wishing to rain on your parade, but worth being aware of the responsibility you are taking on and consequences of getting it wrong.

Thank you for the link. Most helpful.
Bouncy castle is supply only , we are to provide our own staff to supervise use by children.

You can get bouncy castle insurance online from a specialist broker, says they offer day cover also. There are two on the internet i have found:

Bouncy Castle Insurance 1
or
Bouncy Castle Insurance 2

Hope this helps.

There is a reason it’s hard to get cover! Personally I’d not want to be responsible for supervising, probability of accident/s too high.
