I dont think she will give lasting power of attorney. This is what's worrying me. By wanting to stay in control and being in the mindset that nothing has to change she will have her choices removed. I told her this. She said I was scaring her.

Ideally you have these conversations proactively not re-actively but ultimately it's her choice. I worry she will choose badly, fall again and one day socail care will take her choices away.

She is relatively well off but at the same time wont hire a cleaner, gardener or get a taxi to places off the bus route.

If she falls with this diagnosis ( if she gets it) and ends up in A&E they wont release her back home. But I dont want to be the bad guy pointing this out.

I have a disabled child so I know the reality of a overstretched health and socail care. No body is going to swoop in to sort it out.

Confused Why wouldn't they? My uncle has had several falls and it's never been an issue.

I get why you are scared and wanting to have everything in place, but presumably she is still new to the diagnosis and will need some time to process it.

Decide your boundaries now. That's the best advice I can give, and if they are not respected then walk away with no guilt.
