Life after death - mediums?

So I’ve been watching that show ‘life after death with Tyler henry’ and it’s all so believable, it’s got me thinking despite my logically rational mind that I really want to see a medium. My dad died last summer and he is terribly missed.

I know the majority consensus is mediums= con artists who exploit grief. Logically I can see why, they may ‘prove’ themselves with details on the deceased death, but the person grieving person already knows that and aside from that even in the case of Tyler henry nothing new is really presented. But god emotionally there is a pull.

anyone had a remotely positive experience with a medium?

also what do people make of that Tyler henry? Con artist with a smile?

(also worth saying I DO see a grief counsellor, mentioned it to them and all the said was for some people it does provide a great deal of comfort and closure)

please no nasty comments

I watched the Tyler Henry programme and I thought some of the mediums - especially that Dutch one with her colleagues were absolutely faking it and had googled the subjects previously.

My best friend saw a medium in the London area and thought she was genuine but all the dead apparently wanted to talk about was cushions, a new sofa and the like. Nothing particularly about the relationship with the living or unfinished business.

Personally I don't believe you can communicate with the dead.

The Tyler Henry one is different. It's him travelling around giving readings. He's a lovely lad. Has health issues. He's very sensitive.

There's a lot more to mediumship than people think. It's been studied scientifically and lot of great minds have found good evidence. It isn't that easy to link with an energy that's no longer in the physical world. Everyone can do it if they want but some are linked in to vibrations easier than others. Like any ability there'll always be some who are great some not so. There will be some who aspire to being great and they can get a bad name for trying too hard

Energy can't die. The mind and brain aren't the same. Mediumship is mind to mind communication. It's fascinating when you look into it more. Those who vehemently deny the ability will rarely change their minds. They are ignorant of the beauty of this movement. I do agree to not believing everything you're told. Always have an open mind. Be sceptical. And don't part with mega amounts.
A spiritualist church will be a small amount for overheads or a collection plate. Ours is so cheap even on a special evening. They have good social evenings too. Everyone is so friendly.
Read up on spiritualism as you may find books comforting. The library can order them in.
Best wishes to you. Make your own mind up.

I’m just watching this, a bit late to the party! But it’s fascinating. What I’ve noticed is he seems to spend a lot of time describing how the people died very vaguely and then once the people confirm he was on the right track he gives lovely and very specific messages from the loved one. He comes across as really lovely and obviously gives a lot of comfort to the people he does readings for. I’m not suggesting he’s a con artist but what I’m wondering is whether he is an incredible mind reader who is able to pick up on the energy from the people he’s with by asking lots of questions and sensing how they react, in the editing we’re only shown the moments where he gets it right. It’s really interesting though and I’m keeping an open mind.
