Do you think more dust falls inside houses in London than the countryside?

I've been spring cleaning and my goodness the dust is terrible. I don't remember the dust being like this when I lived in the countryside. Do you think living in the city means you have more dust or not?

Yes and no!

A lot depends on the type of house - old houses = more dust than new builds regardless of whether they’re urban or rural.

But cities do have a lot of pollution (which = dust). If you’re on a main thoroughfare vs quieter back streets it’ll be dustier etc.

But if you live in the country next to intensively farmed crop fields you’ll also get a lot of dust at times…

Yes but also a different sort of dust!

when we lived in a city centre we had black dust.. no joke. Around the window you could wipe the wall and look closely to see the black dust. Now it’s mostly fluff from the dogs and bits from the garden. I do think the tumble dryer makes dust.. I always notice more on the skirting around the machine. X
