I’ve followed her for so long and have so much respect for her campaigning to raise money and awareness for bowel cancer. So young with so much more to give to the world. I can’t even imagine how hard it must be for her kids and family 💔

Having recently nursed my DH through his final days with bile duct cancer (never a good prognosis with that one) I think this is on completely the wrong area and should be moved. Death from cancer is fucking grim.

I'm so sorry White Cat. A girl from school died of this last September, not a friend of mine but I knew her as she lived near me and was close to another of my friends. She had three children too. It was all really fast and a terrible shock.

Not at all.

Ive virtually cried all week.

So many similarities to her. I turn 35 in just over two weeks! Have some Bowel issues! I’m a senior leader in a school! I can’t help but worry!

Ive probably only followed her directly for about a year! I saw her reel on instagram and had to follow her! But indirectly since Rachel Bland passed away!

she’s incredible and I’m sad for her and those beautiful children of hers!!

So lovely to see she was made a Dame and Prince William went to her house today to present it to her. Sad that means they saw the urgency time wise but still so lovely.

She is indeed a very inspirational lady. It’s extremely sad.

I think it’s very worthy that she has been made a Dame and it’s all obviously been expedited with Prince William visiting her parent’s home to present her with her Damehood.

of course this in no way makes any of the situation any easier, but in the future it’s a legacy that her family and children can reflect upon of their much loved Mother.

I also think the photos of her in the garden with her family and PW are very touching. She looks incredible in her white dress and obviously very well made up. Even in what is clearly her final journey she looks wonderful and smiling. Those photos will be something for her family to treasure in the future.

She has achieved a considerable amount and I wish her well on her final journey.

I’ve been very moved by this brave woman’s experience. I don’t know her at all but we do have several mutual friends so I have always felt a little connected to her journey and have followed her on Instagram for years. Her family are so brave in their grief - the last five years (and especially the last five months) must have been agony for them. The slow but certain ending of a life of such vibrancy and personality. It’s too much to take in really.
