Any doctors (specifically neurologist) as I have an utterly ridiculous query

I am having some tests for numbness pins and needles etc. but I've noticed recently my one hand goes numb and tingly when I'm having a poo!
If anyone could try and decipher what on Earth this may indicate I'd be super grateful 😀

You may not be aware, but GMC guidance forbids giving medical advice out via social media. It's best to access care via the usual methods.

could be b12 deficiency. Not a doctor but have pernicious anemia

Not medically trained at all so agree to get qualified advice. You can make a diary with symptoms and things you have done that day, how bad symptoms are and anything that seems to relieve it. If you spot patterns talk to the doctor or let them see it.

also Google is generally not your friend for this. Using a site like nhs will be accurate but I presume you already have. Beyond that you will get all sorts of potential diagnoses to scare you.

Not medically trained but I had all sorts of numbness and tingling down one side due to inflamed nerves. Try a strong anti- inflammatory like Naproxen.

I have quite complex neurological problems which took a while to diagnose. Really, keep a diary of all the times you get symptoms of any sort and what's going on/exercise/diet/alcohol/EXACT symptoms etc for each instance. This really helped my neurologist.

Don't Google, you will terrify yourself and tbh the neurologist will terrify you anyway (I had a scan for ovarian cancer and hiv tests, just a small example!!).

If you've got loss of function (my legs became so numb I struggled to walk) then do everything to see the neuro physiotherapist and do everything that they tell you to do! Likewise the OT for hand function if you have weakness/tremor. You don't need to have a diagnosis to be referred to therapists, just the functional problems.

I hope you get an answer soon, it took 4 months for me but I spent several weeks as an inpatient and got tests rushed through (due to my mobility issues). It can take longer as an outpatient.

Feel free to pm me. I know what it's like.

Thanks all
I haven't even googled this one as it's so ridiculous there's not likely to be an answer! I will add it to my symptom list and discuss at my next appointment
